Abstract
Hysterectomy delayed degeneration of corpus luteum and caused a prolongation of pseudopregnancy. Estrin regulated mammary-duct development while corpus luteum probably affected alveolar development. Prolongation of pseudo-pregnancy caused a hyperemic condition of the mammary gland but had no apparent effect upon the gland architecture itself. Hysterectomy did not prevent further estrous cycles in rabbits. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
