Abstract
Peroral pulsion intubation for the palliation of dysphagia due to esophageal carcinoma was performed on 652 patients. The mortality was 16%, failure rate 3%, and hospital stay 3 days. Advanced disease and the presence of esophagorespiratory fistula is not a contraindication to intubation. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
