Abstract
Subjects with deficient pyrophosphatase activity frequently showed a decrease in glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G-6-PD). There was a further decrease in the erythrocyte inorganic pyrophosphatase in the initial phase of an acute hemolytic crisis. There is some similarity in the behavior of reduced glutathione and inorganic pyrophosphatase in G-6-PD deficient erythrocytes. Keywords
