Quadrature Formulae of Closed Type for Solution of Singular Integral Equations

Abstract

Some quadrature formulae of closed type are derived for the principal part of a singular integral equation with a Cauchy singularity. The formulae contain the same abscissae and weights as the corresponding formulae for bounded functions, and thus allow simple numerical integration of Cauchy type singular integral equations.
