Abstract
Using the isotope dilution technique, the distr. and metabolism of radioactive K were investigated in various neuromuscular diseases. Results indicated a marked diminution in total exchangeable K values in such diseases as muscular dystrophy and myotonia atrophica. There appeared to be a positive correlation between the total body K, the degree of muscular disability and the 24-hr. creatinine excretion. Keywords
