Abstract
The transformation between current and constituent quarks is discussed as it applies to real photon transitions. The general algebraic structure of such transitions is presented, and a resulting set of selection rules is derived. Many specific amplitudes for both mesons and baryons are worked out, and both their magnitudes and signs are compared with available experimental data. Keywords
