A new approach to the solution of the main problem of the lunar theory

Abstract
The von Zeipel method is applied to the solution of that part of the main problem that depends on the ratio of the mean motions m and the eccentricity e of the lunar orbit. The theory is obtained in powers of m but in closed form with respect to e. The periodic terms are obtained to 0(m4), the secular terms to 0(m0).
