Abstract
A general derivation o f the Boltzmann-Fokker-Plarick equation is developped i n the framework of the kinetic gas theory. Both Euleriari and Lagrarigian formalisms are displayed. Finally a large survey of possible applications, ranging from charged particle to photon transport problems, gibes the opportunity, beside its practical interest, to show how this philosophy can be used in numerical calculations, leading to another insight into the essence of the method. Keywords
