Abstract
Incubation of violaxanthin with lipoxygenase and linoleate gave rise to the plant growth inhibitor, xanthoxin; and the yields were reduced to 1/10 and 1/20 by the omission of lipoxygenase and both lipoxygenase and linoleate respecively. Keywords
