Abstract
The present article proposes personal suggestions to improve determinations and clinical interpretation of results of lipoprotein(a) assays. Methods and procedures for sampling and quantification of the various isoforms of lipoprotein(a) in serum, plasma and urine are reviewed with the aim of improving the reliability and reproducibility of results and reinforcing the clinical utility of lipoprotein(a) measurements. Keywords
