Abstract
A colloidal suspension of hydrolyzed radio-Fe of high specific activity was developed for the investigation of reticuloendothelial (RE) Fe kinetics in man. Following i.v. injection, this material was cleared rapidly by the RES and the Fe was released into the plasma where it bound to transferrin. There was no significant addition to the endogenous RE Fe load, and it proved possible to measure RE Fe release without disturbing the normal Fe flow. Keywords
