Abstract
I approach this podium today with a feeling not only of humility but also of concern. For the past year I have felt the pressure and discomfort shared, I'm sure, by all those so honored, which is engendered by the primary assignment of the position, namely, the creation and presentation of a presidential address. The privilege of listening to the timely and provocative address presented by Dr. Wylie last year, plus my unexpected election as your president this year, even then determined in my mind the basic subject of this address today. I have since been struggling to formulate its actual content. Dr. Wylie's Recommendations One of my main concerns has been the desire to help encourage the implementation of Dr. Wylie's basic recommendations. These are aimed at helping us all to strive further toward that which I would consider to be the ultimate purpose of our two vascular societies,This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
