Abstract
We consider adaptive array beamforming with calibration errors. We propose a new beamforming method which is robust when the looking direction mismatches the true physical direction of arrival. The new method solves a convex quadratic programming problem with simple polyhedron constraint. Unlike the conventional modeling for calibration, this polyhedron constraint is specially designed and algebraically constructed. Its field angles can be tuned to realize space sectorization. The extensive simulations have shown that the new method is very robust and superior to the traditional one.
