Breeding Records of Whitetail Deer in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan

Abstract
Information shows that most of the breeding of whitetail deer in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan occurs between Nov. 4 and 22. Most fawns are dropped between May 31 and June 10. The avg. gestation period for 10 deer was 204 days. Twelve female fawns had an avg. wt. of 5 lbs., 11.5 ounces, 17 male fawns avgd. 7 lbs., 7 ounces.
