Self-consistent kinetic energy in the electron fluid

Abstract
A self-consistent expression for the kinetic energy of a fermion Jastrow trial function is derived. Calculations for the electron fluid show only a small shift from earlier results using the Clark-Westhaus kinetic energy with the convolution approximation.Keywords
