Abstract
Pericardial effusion is described in a man, aged 23. Repeated pericardiocenteses were required, the fluid of which was sterile to culture and guinea-pig inoculation; later the fluid obtained from the pericardium was bloodstained. Four mos. later it became apparent that the patient had developed miliary tuberculosis. Post-mortem examination revealed pericardial tuberculosis was a tuberculous gland in the mediastinum. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
