Abstract
Propane reacts with CO leading to isobutyric and butyric acids in good yields by the Pd(OAc)2/Cu(OAc)2/K2S2O8 catalyst system via C–H bond activation. It is essential to use more than unity of the Cu(OAc)2/Pd(OAc)2 ratio to attain high yield. Keywords
