Abstract
Summary A Micro-Kolmer technique, modification of the Kolmer-Wassermann complement fixation method, for the detection of Endamoeba histolytica antibodies is presented. A modification of the method for the production of antigenic reagent, which has been found to be specific and sensitive, is described. Results on 303 cases tested for amebiasis with this method show that an amebic complement fixation test can be useful in intestinal amebiasis and in obscure cases in which no amebae can be detected in the stools. Keywords
