Abstract
In the series of 8 cases to be reported there were 7 of carcinoma and 1 of myxosarcoma. The 7 patients with carcinoma were all elderly; the patient with myxosarcoma was 4 years old. One patient had a carcinoma of the nose as well as of the ear. In all cases the disease was in a late stage, and either surgical treatment or irradiation or both had been given in some other hospital before the patient was admitted to the Colorado General Hospital. GENERAL DATA Age.—The ages ranged from 4 years to 83. (The ages were 4, 63, 66, 66, 67, 79, 80 and 83.) All the patients with carcinoma were past 60. The 4 year old child had myxosarcoma.
