Abstract
A total of 1 422 hemodialysis have been performed in the home by 14 patients trained at S:t Eriks Sjukhus. Survival was 100% rehabilitation satisfactory and medical and psychological complication rare. In suitable cases home dialysis is preferable to center dialysis, because the patient is more independent, the cost is considerably lower, the risk of infection less and the requirement of skilled medical personnel greatly reduced. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
