Abstract
With a heightening of public environmental awareness caused by the burgeoning problems of hazardous waste disposal throughout the world, the environment as a political issue has become more visible in Korea during the 1980s. Is Du Pont trying to escape more stringent environmental laws? This study explores the question of industrial flight by examining Du Pont's decision to locate its titanium dioxide plant involving hazardous wastes in Korea. Keywords
