Abstract
Transition form factors have been extracted from inclusive electron scattering data in the Q2 range 1 to 10 GeV2/c2 for the Δ(1232) and second resonance, which is dominated by the S11(1535). The form factor for the second resonance appears to approach a Q4 dependence expected from leading-order perturbative QCD, while the form factor for the Δ(1232) decreases faster than Q4, which would be expected when nonleading processes are dominant.
