Abstract
Supplemental lighting with rose (Rosa hybrida L. cv. Forever Yours) using Wide Spectrum Gro-Lux, Sylvania Metalarc, and General Electric Lucalox lamps gave consistent (but non-significant) increases in production ranging from 29-40% in Jan. and Feb. and 0-24% in March and April and reduced flower development time from 2 to 9 days. Supplemental lighting did not affect stem diam or length or fresh wt of flowers. Keywords
