Abstract
Rotational bands in the odd-odd nuclei ,178Re have been studied via the fusion-evaporation reactions ,13C,xn). Several rotational bands have been identified for both isotopes. Techniques of gamma and internal conversion electron spectroscopy have been used. The different band structures are discussed in the frame of the two-quasiparticle-plus-rotor and cranking models.
