A New Genus Based on Isaria palmae

Abstract

The new genus STEVENSO-MYCES is monotypic with S. palmae as the type sp. Isaria palmae is excluded from the genus Isaria since its conidia are not produced from phialides. The fungus is known only from the Panama Canal Zone. The taxon is classified in the family Stilbellaceae of the Fungi Im-perfecti.
