Abstract
Pregestation intake of vitamin A percursors influences the A content in sow's milk. The vitamin A and D values in the milk of sows farrowing in February as compared with sows farrowing in April suggest a gradual depletion in the body stores of these two vitamins. Condition of a sow at the time of parturition influences the concentration of fat in the sow's colostrum. Keywords
