Abstract
A method is presented for finding the response of a large power system to cyclic load variations. The waveform of the load variation is represented as a Fourier series. The power system is represented by a set of first-order, linear differential equations. These are solved to give the response of the system to each harmonic component, and the results combined to give the total response. Results from a sample problem are given as an example. Keywords
