Abstract
We report a new technique for fabricating Bragg gratings in LiNbO/sub 3/ channel waveguides. This technique involves the irradiation of the waveguide by means of an ultraviolet beam. We also demonstrate the applications of these gratings as tunable input couplers and as Bragg reflectors. Keywords
