Abstract
The observed shifts in the C—D stretching frequency in mixtures of base and deuterochloroform have been used to compare the donor properties of a variety of organometallic bases. These include ethers, sulphides and amines in which one or more (CH3)3 M-groups (M = Si, Ge, Sn or Pb), are attached to the donating atom.Keywords
