Abstract
The susceptibility of a rock specimen in relatively low fields may be measured by comparing the changes in an inductively coupled circuit when the specimen and a similarly sized standard of known susceptibility are introduced into the coupling space. It is important to know how truly such measurements represent susceptibility and to what extent the conductivity of the specimen and the excitation frequency of the instrument affect the accuracy of measurement. Keywords
