Abstract
This study examines the nature of job tension among nuclear workers (N= 622) at Three Mile Island and a control plant during the TMI accident. Findings reveal three tension components (quantitative overload, role conflict, qualitative overload) and much higher levels of tension at TMI. The largest interplant difference occurs on conflict. Keywords
