Zero magnetostrictive amorphous alloys with high permeability and high magnetic induction

Abstract
The rapidly quenched zero magnetostrictive Co‐Fe‐Si‐B amorphous alloys having high magnetic induction and high permeability have been studied. The magnetic annealing under the vertical magnetic field H and under the rotating magnetic field Hφ has been investigated to obtain high permeability even though the alloys have the Curie temperature Tc higher than the crystallization temperature Tx. A zero magnetostrictive amorphous alloy with saturation magnetization σs = 115 e.m.u./gr and with initial permeability μi = 8,000 at 1 kHz has been obtained using the new method of magnetic annealing.
