Abstract
The calculation of Hubbard and Jain (1968) of the generalized susceptibility in the strong atomic correlation limit in the paramagnetic phase is extended to the ferromagnetic phase. Both the transverse and longitudinal susceptibilities are calculated and it is shown that even in the strong coupling limit both Stoner type and spin wave modes exist. Keywords
