Abstract
Iodoacetic acid dissolved in 5% NaOH and then made just alkaline to phenol red, was used as a fixative of the glycolytic systems. It was injected intraperi-toneally. There was a marked difference in the lactic acid contents of the heart, liver and muscle of normal and polyneuritic birds following exercise and rest. The highest values were obtained with the polyneuritic animals which had been exercised. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
