Abstract
While the Israeli Arab population includes a plurality of cultures, all Arabs share a very traditional, conservative view of sexuality. Family Life and Sex Education has only recently been considered possible within the Arab school system. This paper describes an approach that has been developed for the design of teacher training courses and that is grounded in an understanding of and respect for the Arab cultural environment as distinct from the Jewish majority culture .Keywords
