Abstract
'HyperMirror', a video-mediated communication that includes reflected images of users is reported here. The users of this system, present in front of respective local cameras, can communicate with each other. They are not required to wear or operate any equipment. The images taken at the respective local sites are used to create a composite reflected image which represents a virtual room where all users seem to be present. This composite image is outputted to the respective local screens. Results of our experiment participated by users indicate that the system can provide such high reality to the composite image that many users show a tendency to talk to the screen even when the target person is locally present. Keywords
