Abstract
From 30 outside nests of Glaucomys volans querceit examined during 18 months of field work on mammals in 1940, 1942, and 1947 on the University of Florida Conservation Reserve at Welaka, Putnam Co., mostly in the Pinus australis-Quercus laevis association, 5 types are described. Occupation of woodpecker holes, natural cavities, and fox squirrel nests is discussed, and latrines, feeding stations, and underground refuges are reported. A flying squirrel outside nest from Front Royal, Warren Co., Virginia, is recorded.
