Grades as predictors of physiciansʼ career performance

Abstract
This paper describes a program designed to increase the number of physicians in rural areas of Illinois. A general description of the operation of the program is included. The results of a study made to evaluate the effectiveness of the program are then presented in a series of tables. The evaluation demonstrates that the program has been effective in general and has been particularly effective for those individuals who have joined the program after matriculating at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.
