Abstract
Patients (25) with bladder cancer who received adjuvant chemotherapy with doxorubicin hydrochloride and cyclophosphamide after radical cystectomy were studied. Two patients had stage A disease, 3 had stage B, 3 had stage C and 17 had stage D. The 2 patients with stage A tumors were free of disease for 12 and 15 mo., respectively, and the 3 patients with stage B tumors were free of disease for an average of 25 mo. Of the 3 patients with stage C tumors 2 were free of disease for an average of 35.4 mo. Of the 17 patients with stage D tumors 10 were free of disease for an average of 1 yr (59%). The value of adjuvant chemotherapy with doxorubicin hydrochloride and cyclophosphamide in cases of bladder cancer is apparently indicated. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
