Abstract
Ss were permitted to secure as large a sample as they desired prior to deciding from which of several populations their sample originated. Their performance was analyzed in terms of Wald's sequential probability ratio test model. Found that the discrepancies from the model were of a small magnitude. Characteristics of the individual's decision process were noted. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)
