Coherent Emission from Magnetars

Abstract
It is proposed that magnetospheric currents above the surfaces of magnetars radiate coherent emission in analogy to pulsars. Scaling the magnetospheric parameters suggests that the coherent emission from magnetars would emerge in the infra-red or optical.Keywords
