Abstract
β-1,3-Glucanase is a latent enzyme found in large and small particles in unfertilized eggs. At fertilization, the enzyme in the large particles is released into the surrounding perivitelline space. The enzyme may be involved in transformations of extracellular glycoproteins. Keywords
