40 Gbit/s adiabatic and phase-stationary solitontransmission withsliding-frequency filter over 4000 km reciprocatingdispersion-managed fibre

Abstract
A novel adiabatic and phase-stationary (APS) soliton transmission technique based on the sliding-frequency filter and reciprocating dispersion management is proposed. Utilising the proposed technique, 40 Gbit/s single-channel transmission is demonstrated over 4000 km.
