Abstract
Two cases of paraplegia due to extradural abscesses caused by guinea-worms are reported. Surgical treatment was carried out. Dracontiasis should be considered as a cause of obscure paraplegia in endemic areas. If cure is to be achieved diagnosis and surgical treatment must be rapid. Keywords
