Abstract
A one-dimensional propagation of a reaction wave in an exothermically reacting hard disk system is studied using the molecular dynamics method. The structure of the reaction wave has characteristics similar to those of a detonation. Comparison between the results of our computation and those from the hydrodynamic theory is made. Keywords
