Abstract
The operation of transformer–rectifier flux pump power supplies is described and analyzed. Two cases, based on the mode of current commutation between cryotron gate switches, are considered, and expressions for power output, losses, and efficiency are developed. Results of tests on a prototype flux pump are in good agreement with theoretical predictions. Keywords
