Abstract
Myocardial infarction and left ventricular failure developed within hours of ligation of a large arterial duct in a four week old infant. Anomalous origin of the left coronary artery from the pulmonary artery was confirmed by echocardiography. Despite emergency translocation of the anomalous coronary artery the patient died. Keywords
