Abstract
A wavelength converter with a normalized conversion efficiency of over 100%/Wcm/sup 2/ has been fabricated using a periodically poled LiNbO/sub 3/ substrate. Using the fabricated device and a semiconductor laser diode, we have also fabricated a compact wavelength converter module. Keywords
