Abstract

A new series of discoïd molecules is synthesized: the hexa-(p-n-alkyloxyphenyl) benzene. The mixtures of these non discogenic compounds with the hexa-n-pentyloxytriphenylene exhibit a non ideal behavior. Enhancements for the discotic temperature ranges are observed.
