Abstract
An experimental investigation of the polarization reversal process in Rochelle salt shows that besides the slow, lateral motion of - and -domain walls, there is also a fast reversal process characteristic of the nucleation and wall propagation in the orthorhombic -direction. Reversal in this direction is qualitatively analogous to the polarization process in -domain BaTi.
